I Heart U! Flower Soft Card

Hey everyone!

Here is a cute card I made for my son for Valentine's Day.

I stamped the Minnie and Mickey and colored it in with Colored Pencils.

My 2 year old is obsessed (to put it nicely)

with Mickey Mouse and we had just spent his

birthday at Disneyland, so I thought that was an appropriate card!

I die cut a circle out of my cardstock and used the negative part to make my card.

I then die cut 3 hearts and suspended the larger heart in the center of the circle.

I adhered the other 2 hearts to the larger one and added my stickers.

Flower Soft was added to the stamped image.

Flower Soft Challenge!

Hey Everyone! Here is the latest Flower Soft Challenge!

Use the Mabel Lucie Atwell Kit and Make a 3D Pop Up Card.

The card must use the theme of Valentine's or Anniversary.

Here is my card..

I just LOVE this card!

She looks like she is SO over joyed and happy!

To make this card, I started with the Mabel Lucie Atwell 3D Pop Up Card Kit.

(Of course I could NOT just make the card as it - I HAD to add to it!)

So....

I added Bazzill Dotted Swiss.

I made the card out of this cardstock and matted the image onto it.

I used 2 shades of pink to add a little touch of Valentine's to the card!

I die cut the hearts from our Stash of Ellison Dies....

I did not have a stamp that said this specific saying,

and I was very dead set on my card saying this... so I hand wrote it.

I actually liked it better, gave it more of a personal touch to the card.

The inside I added 3 of the die cut hearts to the pop up.

I covered the back circle (where the sentiment was supposed to go)

with a scalloped circle, layered with a circle and added a tulle bow.

I love how when you open this card the girl and hearts just pop out at you!

These card kits are great as is, but I LOVE adding to them!!

February Challenge ~Imagine That! Scrapbooks & Gifts~

Hey everyone! So it has been a couple of days... ok more like a week... since my last blog post!
So sorry, the craziness of CHA is to blame! LOL!

Well as you all know, we have MONTHLY challenges over at Imagine That! Scrapbooks & Gifts.
They are loads of fun! If you haven't tried them, you should! It is a great way to get lots of scrapping down, have fun, and did I mention, WIN prizes???

Here is this month's Sketch....
Another wonderful sketch by my DH! (With a little input and help from ME!)

And now my take on the sketch!

I just love how this turned out!

I of course have to scrap by little red head!

The flute paper was stained and the painted in random spots.

I also wanted to use LOTS of flowers on this page....

Gasp! I know... Flowers on a boy page?!

That is ok!!! I just added a little jute twine to make it a little more masculine!!

Had to "grunge" up my edges with my Distrezz- It all!

Here is a look at the stained and painted jute.

You can also see the added twine to chipboard.

Wire Work! Flower Soft

Hey Everyone! So as part of our "challenge" at Flower Soft we are using wires.

I just LOVE this little things!

They add just the right about of dimension and texture to any project.

Of course I like to use mine in a different way....

So instead of the basic floral bouquet with sprinkles,

I made swirling sprigs to go into my floral arrangement!

Cardstock: Bazzill Basics

Pattern Paper: Webster's Pages

Flowers: Petaloo and Kaiser Craft

Rhinestones: Queen & Co.

Die Cut: Spellbinders

Stamp: Unity

love how the layers work together with the paper, vines, and the paper flowers.

Of course I had to add a butterfly!

The pink and red just adds a nice pop to the card!

Such a GREAT stamp!

Of course my mom lives by the word Believe.

And the beauty of this card reminds me of her:

Beautiful on both the inside and out.

So I thought this stamp was a perfect fit for this card.

I made the frame by die cutting the labels with my Spellbinders Grand Calibur.

I used the negative for my card!

I could have just die cut the pink,

but I thought it gave it a nice dimension with using the negative.

To make the wire spirals I cut the wires in half.

I then applies the flower soft glue on the wires and dropped the

Flower Soft Ultra Fine in ocean onto the wires.

I allowed the wires to completely dry.

(Normal dry time for sprigs is about 45 minutes)

I let them dry for a couple of hours....

It allowed me to actually work at work! ;)

Did I mention I have the BEST job ever?!?

Once they were dry, I took a pencil and wrapped the

wires around it to form the spirals.

I adjuested the size to my liking.

The great thing about the Flower Soft glue is that it drys

CRYSTAL CLEAR and is FLEXIBLE!!

So it will allow for lots of fun shapes and desings.

(Make sure to check out my Step it Up! Card.... I made the wires into a heart!!)

Christmas Cookies Layout

Here is another challenge that I gave my girls over at Imagine That! Scrapbooks and Gifts.
They were given 3 displays of papers (so about 225 different papers) and they had to make a layout using ONLY those papers. Of course added embellishments are ok.

Which also means NO Cardstock!! Boy was this one a fun challenge!!!

Snow Fun Layout

Hey everyone! So I like to Challenge my staff over at Imagine That! Scrapbooks & Gifts, where our Motto is Inspiring One Creative Mind At a Time ~ Imagine That!

So, this challenge was to take NON Snow, winter, or Christmas

themed paper and use it in a snow layout.

Completely appropriate for the beautiful blanket of snow we got in December.

(those of you familiar with southeaster NM know Snow is NOT a common thing here!)

So here is my SNOW page.

I used 2 lines of Lost and Found from My Mind's Eye.

Portobello Road is boy themed (with a couple of pieces even Cowboy)

Union Square, which has travel and other odds and ends.

SO.... I mixed the two and got these amazing results!!!

I can hear my mom asking....

"Where is your who? what? when? where? why?

We know who these people are, but years from know,

when these are passed down, they won't"

Step It Up Challenge!

Hey everyone!!! I just absolutely LOVE these Mabel Lucie Kits! They are great little cards, that are quick and easy to make! Of course, I love to add to mine to make them a little more fun and personal. These kits are a fun and easy way to do just that!

So here is my Stepped Up Card!
I used the cute little boy and girl kissing and added a few personal touches to it!

I made a wire heart using my Flower Soft wires. I then covered it with Light Blue and Pink Flower Soft. I added a 3 looped bow to the bottom and attached it with a brad. I then punched the edges and added pink cardstock behind the corners. Lastly I inked around the entire card with black to pull more of the black out of the card.

so I am so excited I get to use this super cute snow paper by Reminisce!!!

Flower Soft Challenge - Roses/ Daisies

Hey everyone! I am SO excited to be a part of the Flower Soft Design Team! I am excited for the upcoming year and all the great projects that we get to share with you! I die cut the daisy heads out and then used a petal roller and foam mat to "curl" the flowers. I layered them and added Flower Soft to the center. I cut and embossed the leaves and placed them underneath.

Pearls were added to every other bottom hole.

I love making "girlie" cards! Having boys (a husband and son) I don't get to make girlie things very often.

I just LOVE the look of the Fuschia Flower Soft! It adds a nice texture and added color with the purples, pinks, greens and whites!!

Christmas Tree Album

Hey everyone! Here is a Altered Tree Mini Album I did in November.

I had SO much fun coming up with this amazing design. The album is completely made from scratch.

The "guts" of the album is made from Chipboard and it was bound together using the Cinch (We R Memory Keepers). My DH was kind enough to help me with the "math" behind this album and to make sure all my angles where correct and even!

The outside of this album was covered in Texture Paint, both Green and Brown.

I then wrapped the tree with wire and added button lights on each of the strands.

To keep the lights where I wanted them (and NOT sliding around every where)

I placed a zot underneath them

I added different brads from We R Memory Keepers to act as ornaments on the tree.

Lastly I added bows everywhere to fill in the "void" spots.

It also helped so I could keep the book closed....

2 of the ribbons actually tie the book together.

Each tier of this mini album opens up to reveal 3 more pages.

The inside of this album is Echo Park Patterned Paper: Holly Jolly Christmas

I don't have any pictures in this yet, I know, I know a week after Christmas and no pictures??

I will post again once my pictures are on here!!

Work In Progress - My Scrap Room Part 2

I just absolutely LOVE my Scrap room...

I know it has been taking me a while to get it finished, but when I finally do..... YAY!!!

So here it is clean! It is still not FINISHED, but it is definitely getting closer. I still need more shelves (but since I have slat wall in there I need slat hooks, which means a trip out of town!!)

Most of my stuff is getting organized, however I seem to buy faster than I can organize... again, did I mention I LOVE scrapping? Well and card making!!

I know... I need new curtains, one of the many things on my list!

My shelves, with albums, books, magazines, and LOTS of Inspiration!

My reading corner! There is a huge window going into our living room and windows for outside, So I am always inspired!

January Challenge ~Imagine That! Scrapbooks & Gifts~

Here is my take on this Month's Challenge at Imagine That! Of course my layout is just for inspiration purposes since staff cannot participate or win the challenge! But I LOVE making layouts and this makes sure I scrap!! (Not that I need the extra push! But Oh well!!)

Dies: Spellbinders Paper Arts

(Layered Poinsettias, Grand Circles, Circles, Beaded Circles)

To make this center piece, I die cut the Grand Circle twice. Once in the red cardstock and once in the vellum. I then die cut the layered poinsettias using a different pattern paper for each layer. To make the frame in the center, I layered the Beaded circle with a nested circle to cut both the shape and the center our of the shape. I then out part of the poinsettias under the vellum and hand stiched the vellum and cardstock together. I then put the top 2 layers of the poinsettia on top and fishined with a brad. Lastly I added black rhinestones to the "beads" of the circles.

My Title I used 3 different alpha stickers. The mini alphas were by My Little Shoe Box and the black are by Doodlebug Designs. I placed my title on white cardstock and layered onto the patterned paper. The border along the bottom is Bazzill justs the Edge. (Half the edge)

Photos were reprinted to wallet size. I did this so the entire photo was shown and not just cropped. I wanted to story to show Aedan playing amonst all of his Christmas Toys and his favorite being the Cookie Monster.

Of course I had to add journaling. That is one thing I think about everytime I scrapbook. IS MY story being told?! Plus I always here my mom telling me it is not a finished page without the journaling. I am not a big fan of my own handwriting, but I know how much it will be cherished later. So I try to add that personal touch!

Amanda's Birthday Card

Hey everyone! Here is a card that I made in December...

For my Brother...not for him!

But for his Fiance's Birthday.

It was so funny, he came into the store and "ordered" it!

I laughed because this is my younger brother, of 23 and he is so cute! He came in and asked me if we had some "pre-made" cards. I told him we had already scored cardstock, so he goes over to the display, picks out some stickers and asks me if I could put it together real quick!

Of course I said sure, but all he had was cardstock (1 piece) and some Happy Birthday stickers....

I asked him what else he wanted on it and I got the Deer in the Headlight Look

So I told him that I could make anything in the store into a card... OH!

So he went and picked a 1 piece of paper, I told him I would do the rest!! LOL!

Oh and the kicker... he needed it that afternoon!

I whipped up this card for him in all of out 5 minutes!

So here it is!!

WOW! I did not realize I only used Bazzill and Pink Paislee on this card!

Oh well!

I LOVE the brightness of this card.

Especially with his Fiance having a December Birthday, it was fun doing something that was not Green, Red, and White (even though Christmas is one of my Favs to scrap!!)

I Love how it looks like the cake is "BURSTING" with excitement!

Decorate edges and a girl has to have Bling!

Especially on her Birthday!

I LOVE Scrapping the Holidays!

I LOVE right after the Holidays! I am sad the Holidays are over, but.. now I get to Scrap it!! I made SO many Mini albums for the Christmas season and am SO excited to be able to fill them with all of my pictures! Of course I still make my 12 x 12 layouts, so many pictures will have the oppurtunity of finding more than 1 home! Did I mention I am addicted to scrapping?! With that means that I "have" to take tons of pictures!! Good thing for me, my mother is obsessed with picture taking and cameras! YAY!

So here is my PILE of Christmas Photos to scrap!

Yes, this if JUST from this Christmas... 233 photos to be exact, with no duplicates!!

It is 2012! And the 1st Blog Post of the NEW YEAR!!! I hope everyone had a safe and happy holiday season. It is hard to believe that ANOTHER year is over! Aedan will be 2 in just a few short weeks...(his birthday is the same as his Daddy's - January 27th!)

We had a very "laid back" New Year's....

We all had dinner at Applebee's (I know, we live in a small town, that is REALLY all there is!)LOL!

Aedan JUST HAD to HAVE a balloon!

But didn't like the fact we had to weigh it down, so it wouldn't go to the ceiling....

I love Christmas! Everything about Christmas....

The gift giving....well and receiving!
But I REALLY enjoy scrapbooking and making cards for Christmas! The inspiration just seems to flow! I also notice it is the time of year that my class list for the store just is over flowing as well....

Ok - so I LOVE Tim Holtz Products!! (Well and him and Mario!) They are amazing men!

So if I use a lot of his products and techniques... SORRY! It doesn't help that they were at the store and inspired me even more!!!

So here is a fun card that I made using the Alcohol Inks!

I love how the turquiose cardstock under the leaf pulls out the blues in the alcohol inks that were used!

Originally when I made this card it was supposed to be a fall card, but I thought I would think outside of the box and go with a sentiment a little less obvious! So I went with Get Well.

I added the black ink around the card so it would tie the sentiment and the card together!!

Here is a layout that I started about a year ago.... I finished it about 3 months ago!
I guess life took over and I forgot about it!! Oops! It probably doesn't help that I have about 5 million projects going on all at the same time!!!

I challenged myself to do a layout that was not my "norm." So here is a clean, simple, flat layout. (and what I mean by flat, is not a lot of dimension... no pop dots, etc. There are just a few brads!)

See... Not that much dimension! I had to fake it with layering and more layering!

On this flower I actually only used 3 colors. The Yellow in the center that I went over with a yellow Spica. The Pink and the Blue. By flicking the colors towards the center caused the colors to blend, giving me the purple in the midde. I also added more shading by using the same color to the ends of the flower.

I love this saying!

I just LOVE Bo Bunny!! This was a great line, Peacock Lane. When I saw it, I just knew I had to scrap a page of my maternity shoot! I used the layout that Bo Bunny presented with this line. Of course I added my own flair and embellishments!!! This Layout was one I did about a year and a half ago... I know late getting it to my blog! It is amazing to see just how much my crafting as grown and evolved even over this past year! Well here is a look at it....

My Aedan!

This sweet little angel has had more photos of him taken than one could possibly imagine!!!
Here I was at our office, snapping pictures of him playing with his daddy! My husband and I have assumed many roles as parents, most popular one now is "Jungle Gym"!

Uh oh - He spotted Mommy with the camera!!

And here is his Cheezy pose and grin!!

Of course he knows where the little "eye" of the camera is... and apparently because I was shooting downward, he felt he needed to look right at it! This has quickly become one of my FAVORITE photos of Aedan! Every time I look at it, it reminds me of how cute, smart, and funny this little boy is!
I love him so much and could not imagine my life with out him!

He wanted the camera!

And the picture below is Aedan not getting his way.

Just FYI - HE ALWAYS gets his way!!

So during my October's Card Maker's Club I made an additional card using some of same techniques. In class this was a great Halloween card....SO here is my fall themed card!! I love the fact that we can take so many different techniques and use them for different themes and come up with completely different projects with all the same product!

I used the Sponge and Salt Techniques.....

I even used the same placement of most of the elements!

I love the simplicity of these cards. Of course in the pictures you do not get the chance to see the beautiful shimmer that is released from the mica! You will just have to take my word for it! Sorry - It's Been A While!!

Hey everyone!
So sorry it has been a while since I have posted on my blog! SO much has been going on it has been crazy busy for me! But busy is good!!!!

Just a little of what has been going on....
As you all know, in January, I was asked by FlowerSoft to demo for them at the July CHA show! I accepted and Co-lead their workshop at the CHA Summer Show, as well as demoed in their booth everyday!! It was an amazing experience! Well.... shortly after I arrived back home from show.... I got offered a position with them. The title is still a work in progress, "Retail Consulant". I am also now a member of their insturctional team and design team as well!!! YAY!!!

Ok- so big news... but there is MORE!!!
Yes, more!!!

Many of you know that Tim Holtz. Yes, the one and only Tim Holtz, was in our store August 26th and 27th!!! We were super excited to have him teaching 4 amazing classes, but what was even better?!? We got to spend some time getting to know both him and Mario! And what GREAT guys they both are!!! We had such a blast hanging out with them and getting to know them!!

CHA Summer 2011 - FlowerSoft Demo and Instructor!

Hey everyone!
So I am excited to announce that I just got home from CHA Summer 2011 in Rosemont, IL! I had a blast of course I was able to go with my mom and my son so it was a blast. But, that is not the reason for this post.... NOT only did I get the oppurtunity to meet with many of the manufactures, see the new lines, etc....
I was able to co lead a workshop and demo in a manufacturer's Booth! Yes, you heard me right! I am the newest member of Flower Soft's team of instructors and demonstrators!!! Also this week I am their newest member of their design team! I am SO excited. This is a great oppurtunity and absolutely LOVE their product!

Sketch 127 - When It Rains It POURS!

When it Rains, It POURS!

I have had this paper since it came in (mid February) and I knew when I saw it that I wanted to do a layout using Aedan and him crying. Well these pictures were taken not too long ago and I thought it was PERFECT for what I was wanting to do. The last piece of the puzzle was the perfect sketch and this WAS IT!

Stitching down the paper to mimic the rain falling (or Aedan's tears). Floss by We R Memory Keepers - Sew Easy. Piercing was hand done to give it a more realistic, uneven spacing. Vellum Raindrops are from Clouds/Rain Jolee's Boutique

So... I do scrapbook without sketches or challenges! Lol! But in my crazy busy life, sometimes it is just so much easier to pull out a fabulous sketch from a blog, manufacturer, challenge, or magazine and just put the elements down! (Of course, I am a tool and technique buff, so I always have to add more!)

So here is a layout I did for FALL! Oh how I love the fall, the beautiful hues of browns, greens, reds, and oranges. The air is as crispy as the leaves. The pumpkin patches, apples, and the start of the holiday season. OH how I love the fall!

Here is a layout that I did using my son (of course!) These were pictures from last fall.... yes I know I am behind, but I have TONS of pictures and he is only 17 months old!!

Sorry about the glare.... Couldn't help it with the overlay!

The paper is a white cardstock from Bazzill.

I used Tattered Angels Glam - Hayride and Glimmer Mist Olive Vine to give me the weathered wood for the background. The overlay I used various oranges, browns, and red alcohol inks by Ranger. Lastly I used raffia and brads.

My Home Studio - Work In Progress

Well, here it is... My home studio.... It is a work in progress. It seems I scrapbook supplies faster than I can put them up! I can't wait to get it all organized and ready to go! Don't get me wrong, I use it now, it is just messy! The funny thing, is I know where everything is at! Check back for more updates on my room!

My reading corner! I love this table and chair set, we found it in Ruidoso and I knew it was perfect for my home studio..... I love how it has the windows all around. I can sit at the table, read a magazine, and have a beautiful view of our backyard.

Ok - So I had finished my July Challenge for Imagine That! Scrapbooks and Gifts, and don't get me wrong, I loved my layout. However, I felt like something was missing?! I looked at it, thought about it and I think it was because I did not have any "hard" embellishments. No brads, eyelets, bling, nothing. All I used was paper - fussy cut paper, paper doiley, paper flowers, get the idea? So I added to my page and I am so happy with the way it turned out!

My take on the Sketch - "Cherish God's Love"

This layout is of Aedan's Baptism.

For the scallops at the top I used Color Me Crazy Flowers by Petaloo. I cut 2 of them in half to give me the 4 pieces. I then used Tattered Angels Tuscan Sun for the orange flowers. The doiley was misted with Tattered Angels Key Lime Pie. (Perfect Matches!! If you are looking for a "peachy" match try Vanilla Breeze!

The doves and leaves in the corner was a perfect image for fussy cutting. I absolutely LOVE the way this turned out. I got 2 of the dove paper and fussy cut one, and layered with pop dots!

Cute As a Button Card

Ok - so NOT a challenge, just a card I made. This card was inspired by the "Color my world" Button Frame on the cover of 350 Cards and Gifts Special Edition of Paper Crafts Magazine!

Cute as A Button!

I mimiced the frame by making my card out of black cardstock and then matting a white and gray cardstock. The center of my card is a combination of 4 different stamp sets that had buttons on them. I used various colors of inks for the buttons. I fill in any "holes" as well as to give dimension, I added several real buttons to the card. I typed my sentiment and printed on cardstock. I then inked the edges and foam dotted it on the card. I LOVE this card!!

Here is the frame that was my inspiration!!! Thank you Paper Crafts!!

1st of the 6 double pages "Ready to Learn". I absolutely loved this set of pictures and loved this line of paper.... so I decided to scrap all of my pix from this night using the same line of paper. This 1st set is my favorite picture of Aedan and his beautiful artwork!

The 2nd set of double page layouts. "Umm... I have a question. I think I get it!"

Not only do all of the pages use the same paper line, I have other common factors - Bazzill Chips, BoBunny Acrylic Pieces, and Natural Twine. In this one I used a great Sewn Cardstock by We R Memory Keepers and colored in the squares with the copic Markers.

The 3rd Set of Double page layouts..."Only 16 Months Old." One of the things that amazed me so much with these pictures is how "grown up" Aedan looks! I can't believe he is only 16 months. He doesn't look it. So I wanted to make sure that we always remember that he WAS ONLY 16 months old!

Close up. I loved how this page turner out with the cut out sewn cardstock, the copic markers, and the eyelets! I could not be happier with this layout! Not to mention the pictures are SO CUTE!

Again using acrylic and chipboard embellishments. I wanted to make sure it was fun and masculine!

I thought this was a cute title to use... since the other page is Umm I have a question!

Sketch 125 - Only 16 Months Old

Well I am still scrapping Aedan and his "drawing". I used this great sketch from the Scrappiest. It turned out so cute! However the title is on its double! So make sure you check out both of them at the end!

Here is the sketch...

And here is my take!

I used the Sassafras Line of Apple Jacks! I used natural twine, bazzill chips, bazzill cardstock, acrylic pieces by BoBunny, brads, paints to finish off my page.

A close up of my cluster! I loved the oversize pencil embellishment! The chipboard was painted, eyelets set with the crop-a-dile and strung with twine. Lastly the acrylic was painted and added.

Instead of using a circle I liked this grid paper and cut it out and painted the edges. I like how it gave it a fun, uneven look. I was trying to go with the theme of my 16 month old drawing!

I used a painted acrylic arrow as a photo corner.

The two pages together! Hard to believe that he is only 16 months old!

In this layout I used Sassafrass Apple Jacks line and it turned out great!

A closer look at the title with epoxy alpha stickers. The cardstocks were matted and corner rounded with the corner chomper by We R Memory Keepers.

Bazzill Chipboard Chips were painted red, then 2 orange eyelets were set in the center and tied with twine. I wanted a button feel, but wanted something more exaggerated with the fun and whimsical alphabets that were all over the page. I then painted the edge of an acrylic circle with a black paint dabber. The edge of the 12 x 12 page was then finished of with strokes of the black paint dabber.

Thank you for this beautiful sketch!! When I saw this I thought it would make a great Father's Day card for my Husband, from our son (he is 16 months old, so mommy still gets to make his cards for him!)

The song I used was - Just the Two of Us ~ Will Smith Version

But written by Withers.

The Paper I used was the MME Confetti Line- Celebrate "Beach", "Boy", "Dad & Me"

I love this little monkey stamp! It reminds me of our son and how he is a little "monkey." He climbs on EVERYTHING! And how he hugs or holds on to our pant legs!

I tilted the sketch partially because I can't glue anything straight! LOL!

Inside of the card I typed the chorus to the song and adhered it.

Half accordion flowers are at the top and botton of the stamped image.

I used the "Heart Attack" from We R Memory Keepers to distress the accordion flowers. I also used my "sewing" skills around the center edges! About the only thing I can sew is paper!!!

Around the edges of the stamped image and the edges of the patterned paper, I used the Distrezz it all by Zutter, to really give me that dirty, grundgy look! I then finished of the look with copper ink.

Sketch 124 Worth Remembering

Ok Everyone.... Here is a blog challenge that I did! I had SO Much fun using the new line by Bazzill... Worth Remembering! Check it out!

In this layout I used the Bazzill patterened paper line Worth Remembering. I loved the color combination of red, black, and mint green! I actually did the layout first and thought I would find the picture for it later. (Like I don't have enough pictures!) So I rummaged through my "To Be Scrapped" and found these! They matched so well!

It was sad looking at these pictures. Bobby had just gotten home from Afghanistan (after being injured) Aedan was only a couple of days old and Bobby had to go back to California for more surguries!

I loved this die cut piece! It could not have descrided this picture any better!

Here I added a flocked lace by We R Memory Keepers. I layered the white (Be My Valentine Line) and the Mint (Merry January Line) and it was the perfect match!

Bazzill flower with red Bling. I LOVE BLING!

Tiny Pearls are accented through out the page.

Like has been so crazy busy that I have been unable to participate in Scrapbook and Card Challenges lately. I did however find the time to scrap lift this beautiful card out of Card Creations: Favorite Occasions, Vol 2. The card I mimiced can be found on page 19 (Original Card Name: Shabby Chic Doily. Original Designer: Julia Stainton)
I fell in love with this card the moment I saw it and had to make it. I ended up giving it to a dear friend of mine that just found out her dog has to have heart surgery! Hopefully this will brighten her day!

Bo Bunny Card Challenge Tuesday!

For my 1st ever Card Challenge Tuesday by Bo Bunny I used the new Ad Lib Collection! I love how fun and colorful it is! I hope you like it!

Flowers were made using a circle punch and paper (top flower). Then the lower two flowers were used with Cosmo Crickets' Gluebers and Bo Bunny Ribbon! This was my first time using the gluebers and they were great!

I thought my handwriting added to the doodle look that was already present!

Just some fun and random spurts of stitching!!

Since I have a little boy, the only time I get to do anything feminine is when I make cards! I hope you enjoy this card as much as I did making it!!

I used Quite Contrary Paper: Mary Mary "Best Friends" Share paper is the base of the card. The first mat I used is Jack & Jill " Be Happy" Gleeful, the top mat used is Jack & Jill "Be Happy" Blissful. To make the mats I used Grand Labels Four by Spellbinders Paper Arts. Tool: Grand Calibur (Spellbinders Paper Arts)

I highlighted several of the rain drops on the paper with epoxy raindots by Cloud 9 Designs.

For my stamps I used Tia & Cuddles Rain or Shine By In Style Stamps (girl jumping in puddle). My Sentiment came from Life is not Perfect Collection by Hero Arts. Tool: Rock a Block (Crafter's Companion). I used StazOn Timber Brown for the ink on both stamps. To color in my image I used water color colored pencils from Faber-Castell.

I used the umbrella strip of the borders from Quite Contrary - Jack & Jill "Be Happy" Blissful Paper. I then cut out 6 of the umbrellas and pop dotted them up. I also covered them with glossy accents (Ranger) to give them the "wet" feel.

So here is my take on this BEAUTIFUL Sketch.... Using our BEAUTIFUL SON, Aedan....

The Line I used was Fine and Dandy: True Blue. I loved how this came out!! This was Aedan's first time playing with the water hose and he had a blast. So did I! We took so many pictures! I was excited to see that I was in some of them, My husband was kind enough to take over the picture taking! I had such a hard time choosing the right photos.... So I just made a collage!!

I inked all the edges with StazOn Timber Brown and it matched so perfectly! For the layers, I layered True Blue Chipboard Banner, with the yellow pom pom trim and brown zig zag, both from the True Blue Collection. Then I pop dotted the Baby Aedan onto the banner and finished off the alphas, True Blue Banner Stickers with epoxy! I thought it gave it a "wet" feeling! I also added tiny raindrop and water splat epoxy stickers.

My Title just feel into place. I already had all of the pieces to this line, so I just used them together, but I wanted the "Water" to stick out, so I used Lush Alphas in Brown to highlight this part of my title.

The clouds were paint dabbed with Adirondack Paint Dabbers in Snow Cap (white). I then inked the edges with StazOn Timber Brown and Faux stiched with a brown Artist pen. The dabber gives it a fluffy, realistic, cloud like quality!

Finally I finished the page with Glass - Gel Pens with perfect little "water" droplets throughout the layout! I felt like it gave it the feeling of being sprinkled with the water hose!

Bo Bunny Sketch Challenge Friday!

Ok - So I LOVE to participate in the blog challenges!!!! This is actually my 1st with Bo Bunny. I love their paper and buy any and every piece I can get my hands on! This is however not my 1st challenge, just the 1st one I have put on my blog. Most of them I have just sent in. SO.... Here is my first on my blog! YAY!

Of course, my layout includes the most important things in my life, My Husband Bobby (the hand and legs in the picture! LOL!) and our beautiful son, Aedan.

Here is my take on this sketch! I hope you enjoy it!

The Title seemed to fit so perfectly, every time with Aedan is an adventure! He is so smart and curious it is unreal. I can't believe he is 14 months old! It seems like yesterday.....

I love how this layout had clusters of emebellishments. This is one of my favorite things to do! I feel that I need to use every thing on every page!!! The more embellishments the better! I did love how the sketch had all of the flowers, but with a son, I went more masculine with brads, stickers, and chipboard pieces!

Isn't he so handsome?! The stickers I seperated the centers from the frames and pop dotted the centers to give them more dimension.

These stickers where made for Aedan!

Curio Cabinet Album

This has been one of my Favorite mini albums!!!!! I had a lot of fun making this.... I used Creative Imaginations Real Wood Paper, Tim Holtz Hardware, Prima Flowers, Graphic 45 Metal flowers, Glitz Papers and Embellishments, and my Zutter Bind it All. Here is the front cover.... To get this vintage look, I used Ranger Walnut Inks, Distress Inks, and StazOn.... I then used Tim Holtz' corners, knobs, and key holes. I colored inside the key hole with my copic marker to give it the real keyhole look.

The Glitz Line that I used was Vintage Love. The stickers for this line, however I thought was too white for the color scheme I was going for, so I used my Walnut Inkz to give them more of an aged look. I used pink and white Prima flowers to give a pop of color through out the album as well. (Pictures are printed in Sepia).

I also used acrylic and Ranger's, Adirondack Alcohol Inks.... (18 different colors are used through out the album.)

2nd Page... (Opens to the right) Acrylic with Alcohol Inks and Rub Ons. In the bottom corner I layered 2 Graphic 45 Metal flowers together and curled the petals to give them more of a dimensional look. I also used StazOn Baby Pink ink to add a hint of color.

Back inside pages... I used the same pictures just printed one in the color to again give a little color to a vintage album.

I have a few things in life I am completely obsessed with.... My husband and son of course are a no brainer..... but I am obsessed with scrapbooking, card making, reading my tons of Magazines: (Paper Crafts, Creating Keepsakes, Scrapbooks, Etc.!) but now I have added blog challenges to the mix!!!! I love seeing all the sketches and how so many people can take the same basic idea and come up with MANY different projects! Isn't scrapbooking great! (I love Scraplifting!)
